In October 1987, Pastors Roy and his late wife Sandi started with a new church in the Tampa Bay Area, where they were members for two years and ten months, presiding over the Victory Services. Becoming an Associate Pastor, on staff full time, Pastor Roy was responsible for Pastoral Care and Visitations.

It was during this time that Pastor Roy and Sandi were licensed in March, 1988 and ordained in October 1988 by Apostle Jim Kaseman through AFCM — Association of Faith Churches and Ministries. In 1990, Pastor Roy was called to start Anointed Word Church in West Tampa, our first service was October 7, 1990.
